Marshall County Long Term Recovery Group

The Marshall County Long Term Recovery Group and its partners held a tornado anniversary observance on December 10, 2022, at Jonathan Creek Conference Center in Hardin KY. There were times of prayer and rememberance of those lives lost. A video was shown of the devastation of December 10, 2021, and the recovery since. Gov. Andy Beshear addressed the tornado survivors in attendance and proclaimed December 10, 2022, Western Kentucky Tornado Rememberance Day. Mica Sims from Sen. Rand Paul's office presented Judge Exectutive-elect Kevin Spraggs and County Commissioner Monti Collins a Congressional Record; a message of hope was given by Bro. Mark Sickling; and Santa Clause provided gifts for tornado surviving children.

"We can't express how greatly blessed and thankful we are for all the help that God sent to rebuild our home damaged from the December 10, 2021, tornado. So many missionaries gave up their vacations and time away from their families to help us...We thank God for you everyday." Dennis & Vicki Jo

"When my family lost all our worldly possessions in the December 10, 2021 tornado, we quickly learned that faith and hope would be essential to our recovery...God met our needs by sending us help in the form of so many groups through the MCLTRG. These groups slowly began to shape parts of what seemed like an unattainable mess of lumber and nails into what would become a beautiful home filled with love for my family. We would not be back in our home at this time with out their help." Brian & Robin
